The Blue Flag is a voluntary eco-label awarded to beaches and marinas in 48 countries across Europe, South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, New Zealand, Brasil, Canada and the Caribbean. The Blue Flag works towards sustainable development through strict criteria dealing with water quality, environmental education and information, environmental management and safety.

Jachthaven Wetterwille first joined the Blue Flag programme in 1998. In 2014, we were awarded the Green Pennant as one of the first marinas in the Netherlands. The Green Pennant is a newly introduced label for marinas that go the extra mile when it comes to sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
